If you’re looking for a baked bean recipe that’s a little different from the traditional version, these Mango BBQ Baked Beans are it!

They combine the comforting, hearty flavor of baked beans with the sweet and tangy flavor of DivineKuizine Mango BBQ Sauce, a touch of pure maple syrup, and my signature Sugar Spice for a delicious twist.

I wanted these beans to have layers of flavor—sweet, smoky, tangy, and just a little savory. And let me tell you, that mango BBQ flavor really takes these baked beans to another level.

Why You'll Love These Mango BBQ Baked Beans

These aren't complicated baked beans. They're easy to put together, but the combination of ingredients makes them taste like you spent much more time in the kitchen.

The Mango BBQ Sauce adds a sweet and tangy BBQ flavor, while Sugar Spice brings warm notes of sugar and spices. Pure maple syrup adds another layer of sweetness, and smoked paprika gives the beans that delicious smoky BBQ flavor.

For my version, I cooked 3–4 slices of beef bacon, then used the bacon oil to cook the beans before transferring them to a baking dish. The crispy bacon pieces went right back into the beans before baking. Want to keep them vegetarian? Simply leave out the bacon and use a little olive oil or your favorite cooking oil instead.

Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 20–30 minutes

Oven: 350°F

Servings: Approximately 4–6

Category: Side Dish

Cuisine: BBQ / American-inspired

Dietary option: Vegetarian-style when bacon is omitted

Ingredients

  • 1 can Bush's Baked Beans

  • 3–4 slices beef bacon, optional

  • Mustard, to taste

  • Ketchup, to taste

  • DivineKuizine Sugar Spice, to taste

  • Pinch of salt

  • Pure maple syrup, to taste

  • Onion powder, to taste

  • Garlic powder, to taste

  • Smoked paprika, to taste

  • DivineKuizine Mango BBQ Sauce, to taste

Because baked beans, bacon, and BBQ sauces can vary in sweetness and saltiness, adjust the seasonings to your personal taste.

How to Make Mango BBQ Baked Beans

1. Cook the bacon

Cook 3–4 slices of beef bacon in a skillet until cooked through and crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside.

If you're making the vegetarian-style version, skip this step and add a little oil to your skillet.

2. Warm the beans

Add the baked beans to the skillet with the bacon oil. Let them warm and absorb some of that savory flavor.

3. Add the flavor

Stir in your mustard, ketchup, DivineKuizine Sugar Spice, maple syrup, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt.

Then add the star of the recipe—DivineKuizine Mango BBQ Sauce.

Stir everything together and taste. This is where you can adjust the sweetness, tang, smokiness, or seasoning to your liking.

4. Add the bacon

Chop the cooked bacon into small pieces and stir it into the beans.

5. Bake

Transfer the beans to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20–30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and the flavors have come together.

Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Make Them Your Own

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize.

Make it vegetarian: Leave out the bacon and use a little olive oil or another cooking oil.

Want more BBQ flavor? Add more DivineKuizine Mango BBQ Sauce.

Want them sweeter? Add a little more maple syrup.

Want more smoky flavor? Add a little extra smoked paprika.

The goal is to make these beans your own while keeping that sweet, tangy mango BBQ flavor at the center.

Sometimes it's the simplest side dishes that disappear first—and these Mango BBQ Baked Beans definitely fall into that category.

The combination of sweet maple syrup, warm Sugar Spice, smoky paprika, savory seasonings, and tangy Mango BBQ Sauce creates a baked bean dish that's anything but ordinary.

If you're planning your next cookout, add these to the menu. Your BBQ spread deserves a little mango! 🥭
