Chickpea Quinoa Burger & Herb Potato Wedges

Crispy chickpea quinoa patties are loaded with plant-based protein and fiber, contain hidden veggies, are super adaptable, and can be pan-fried, baked, or air fried until golden & crisp! Ready in about 20 minutes!

This Burger is hearty, delicious, healthy loaded with chickpeas, quinoa, spinach and a few yummy seasonings. It is hefty enough to stand up to the summer grill but does just as well in a frying pan. Dress it up with your favorite fixins.

Everything in this burger is great for you--it's loaded with heart-healthy fiber from chickpea, quinoa and peppers. The DivineKuizine remoulande sauce as your mayo, fresh watercress lettuce for some freshness , caramelized peppers. These Extra Crispy Baked Herb Wedges are so flavorful! Just be sure to make enough, because these Herb Wedges are always a crowd-pleaser! t’s super easy! Dipping is required with DivineKuizine remoulade sauce.

Serves 4

Ingredients


Burger Mixture

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove (minced)

  • 2 cups chickpeas (cooked or canned, drained)

  • 2 cups cooked quinoa ( used tri colored)

  • 4 tablespoons all purpose flour or flour of your choice

  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

  • 2 teaspoons salt, pepper, smoke paprika,

  • 1/3 cup red and orange peppers chopped

  • 2 teaspoons green seasoning


Caramelized Peppers

  • salt and pepper

  • pinch, cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 teaspoon grapeseed, oil or olive oil,

  • DivineKuizine sugar spice

  • 1 teaspoon onion and garlic powder

In a frying pan place oil, butter peppers , spices and DivineKuizine sugar spice in the pan sauté until soften , but still firm and caramelized.

Instructions

  • Place chickpeas and cooked quinoa in a bowl mash chickpeas and combine cooked quinoa together.

  • Add the salt ,pepper colored peppers, green seasoning, garlic flour, and chickpea mixture.

  • Mix until everything comes together.

  • Divide the mixture into eight portions and form each into a round patty. Pat each patty with panko bread crumbs. Heat a skillet, Brush a bit of oil on it and wait until very hot before you carefully place the patties on it. Cook for three minutes adjusting the heat as necessary.

  • Add cheese to burger and let it melt on top of burger- Optional

Build Burger


  1. Build the burger on the toasted bun caramelized peppers, Arugula , Divinekuizine remoulade sauce , and ketchup

Serve immediately.


Herb Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • 3-5 golden Yukon or russet potatoes, cut into wedges

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (more or less to taste)

  • rosemary, thyme, and parsley , finely chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F). Line a large baking sheet with tinfoil (shiny side up). Place a baking rack onto prepared baking sheet and set aside.

  • Slice the potatoes in half (lengthwise), then cut each piece into wedges.

  • Place the potato wedges into a large bowl, then add in the olive oil, herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, making sure each wedge is coated with oil ,spices and herbs.

  • Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, then turn on the broiler and bake for another 4-5 minutes, or until they're well browned and crispy. Keep an eye here - it's easy to burn when the broiler is on!

  • Cool wedges on pan for 5 minutes, then serve at once!
