Stove Top Smoke Salmon

Salmon is one of my favorite things to cook on the smoker or grill. This step by step guide to easily make the best most delicious smoked salmon at home. It starts with high quality salmon .and my stove top smoker. I love my Cameron stovetop .you put wood chips in the metal Cameron box, your food on a rack, and then use a combination of burner and oven heat to turn raw salmon in delectable, moist, tender smoked salmon.

Ingredients:

4-6 Salmon Fillets

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tablespoon mesquite seasoning

1 tablespoon hickory smoke wood chips

Tip: Be sure to use wood chips designed specifically for stovetop smokers. These chips come in tiny pieces, almost like sawdust. Place the drip tray on top of the chips. Cover the tray with aluminum foil with for easy cleanup. Then place the cooking rack on top of the drip tray.

Place the salmon fillets on the cooking rack. Season the fillets with salt, pepper and mesquite seasoning.

Place the smoker on a stovetop burner and close the lid. Turn the heat to medium and watch for smoke to appear, which should take two to three minutes.

Tip: make sure to turn your hood vent on so the kitchen will not get to Smokey. The salmon should take 20 to 25 minutes to cook, depending on the fillets' thickness and your desired degree of doneness. Open the smoker and remove the salmon.

In a saucepan place your salmon pour some about 1/4 cup of the DivineKuizine Mango Barbecue sauce cover pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes or until salmon is nicely glaze.

You will have Smokey, sweet, kick of spice for a wonderful tasting salmon. Enjoy!
