Quick and Easy Sesame Seed Chicken

I love General Toa /sesame seed chicken. This is my version of the fab dish crusty chicken with a sweet spice sauce and sesame seeds sprinkle all over the chicken. You try this recipe you will not have to order Chinese anymore!! Just delicious.

This Easy Sesame Chicken is seriously so easy . The sauce takes only a few ingredients which one of them being DivineKuizine sugar spice. Everyone loves deep-fried and crispy chicken coated with a sweet and savory sesame sauce.Garnished with white sesame seeds, the crispy chicken and sauce pairs perfectly with a bowl of steamed rice.

Chicken Preparation

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces

  • 2 eggs whites beaten

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • oil for frying

For the sauce

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic

  • 1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce

  • 4 tablespoons DivineKuizine Sugar Spice

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions


Place the whites, in a bowl. whisk to combine

Place the flour and 1/2 cup of cornstarch in a shallow bowl or on a plate. Stir to combine.

Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then into the flour. Repeat the process with all of the chicken.

Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350 degrees F

Heat the teaspoon of oil in a large pan /wok over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 Add 7-8 pieces of chicken to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken

Drain the chicken on paper towels

Making Sesame Sauce

While the chicken is cooking, combine the soy sauce, hot chili oil, DivineKuizine Sugar Spice,

rice vinegar, sesame oil, sweet chili sauce and red pepper flakes in a bowl.

Toss Chicken

Add the crispy chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve.
