Southwestern Black Bean Turkey Burger
This burger has bold flavors with smoky peppers in adobo sauce, and cumin, Homemade salsa top with a pickled slaw and DivineKuizine remoulade sauce . The ground turkey and Italian turkey sausage mixture dare I say it may be your new favorite over beef! Its so juicy. lb ground turkey - I prefer breast
2 -3 Italian Turkey Sausage -no casting
1 can black beans
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove , minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 jalapeno , deseed ,minced
1/4 cup white onion , finely chopped
2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
handful cilantro, roughly chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a medium to large bowl, mash beans, with potato masher. Add ground turkey and turkey sausage , chipotle, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix all ingredients together. Shape turkey mixture into patties.
2. Heat grill , griddle or frying pan. Grill/Cook 8-10 minutes or until no longer pink in the center, turning once. Top with provolone cheese during the last minute. Toast Buns
Spread DK remoulade on both toasted buns, place salsa, ( drain most the salsa juice before placing on the burger),add patty, top patty with slaw ,and place top bun on slaw. Enjoy!
